Nau mai haere mai, the purpose of this page is to share thoughts, ask questions, provide feedback/feedforward and anything else that you think you may be able to tautoko (support and assist) our kapa haka groups. Whanau involvement in kapa haka is an intergral part of ensuring our tamariki enjoy their experience and are well prepared for performances. As a tutor I believe that at primary school level kapa haka should be a fun and positive experience and although there will be high expectations of our tamariki to learn the waiata, actions and uniformity to ensure performances are of a high standard, it is much more important that they leave practices having enjoyed the experience, gained new skills and feeling more confident with a sense of pride in themselves.
I am always looking for whanau that can tautoko with making poi, sewing new kakahu (costumes) or helping with dressing and supervising our tamariki for major performances. If you can help with any of these areas in particular, please fill the details below and I will contact you directly, this would be very much appreciated kia ora!
Furthermore, feel free to ask and share any questions or comments you have. This page will be regularly attended but if you have a question that requires immediate attention you can contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
